Last night, my mother and I pulled over on the side of the road, anddddd took some pictures. Pretty basic long exposure shots of cars for my Photography assignment, but hey! It was an adventure. :) It was fun! Shannkkss momsie for taking me!
So this was kind of a “beautiful disaster.” A complete accident thanks to a wee little bump of the tripod! :)
Annnddd the grand finale of this mini little post… Check out the moon! It was huge last night! :) I think this will be the photo I turn in for the slowshutterspeed assingment.
And that’s all for now folks! I’ll try to post some more this week. :)

I always wanted to do a slow shutter speed photo. Then I got my cell phone with the decent camera and my poor, beloved, now sadly neglected Nikon SLR sits in the corner all by it’s lonesome. You inspire me and remind me that it’s not too late! So I’m gonna do it. I’m gonna make a slow shutter speed photo. I’ll try to let you know how it turns out. Thanks for the inspiration!
That last shot is definitely a touch of Close encounters. Really like the road (sorry, pavement?) texture – it seems to ‘call’ to the moon, if that doesn’t sound too fay. V nice indeed, thanks for posting
I like your last shot, did you shop out anything from the nearside of the road? Looks good anyway.
Btw, ‘to shank’ in the UK is gang slang for ‘to stab’ (i.e. i will shank your face). I hope you don’t Shank your mom too much!! :)
Your photographs remind me of some quick night photography I did a few days ago when I noticed the full moon, pregnant, hovering in the sky. Very cool.
First thought, looking at some high resolution science fiction. Then you see the moon hanging in the sky and its coolness permeating in the images and you can only thank the person who took these photographs. Thanks for sharing.

Pretty cool. I want to get some nice, long exposure shots one day but I can’t ever think of good subject material. Everyone does cars, I’m thinking something a little more dramatic.
I’ve always wanted to do these type of pictures. I love your photos. I can start at it for hours. I find the streaks of light to be very interesting and calming. I guess that sounds a little weird. LOL
Dearest LRF,
I fabsolutely LOVE these here shots–most especially the last one you’ve posted. A winner all the way.
Thanking God for His gift of you,
MRF
OH MY GOSH LYDIA! Loveeee the last slow shutter speed….I wonder who’s gonna be the photo of the month?? YOU.

~Stop Me if You’ve Heard This One
Retro is what comes to mind. Very crisp. Very enlightening in a crazy way. Great shots.

Wonderful post!
I love your banner as well, it’s awesome!
Beautiful. @ your last frame, ironic that the object moving the farthest during your shot (the moon) appears static. Aaahhhh … perspective. :)

Do it!! It’s great fun! I carry my SLR everywhere, and it (though a bit beat up) is great fun!

Very cool. I love the effect of shutter speed on traffic, aircraft approaching and leaving an airport, water falls, etc.
You nailed it!
