“I will not say the Day is Done.”

Right.

Summer is over. It’s been the hardest and best two months of my life.
I’ll let Tolkein speak my heart for me.

“Though here at journey’s end I lie
In darkness buried deep,
Beyond all towers strong and high,
Beyond all mountains steep,
Above all shadows rides the Sun
And Stars for ever dwell:
I will not say the Day is done,
Nor bid the Stars farewell.”

My summer started with some seriously awesome sunset time.
Then, I got to spend some quality time with cutesy cute Jack and his mom!
What came next? Oh, a 17 hour road trip with some crazy people to Harlan, Kentucky for 6 days of good Jesus time and fellowship.
After Harlan, there was four days of complete and total and beautiful insanity.
And we called it the Gospel Coalition National Women’s Conference.
Next came a road trip up to the great state of North Carolina where the Fran-Clan vacationed like true people of the mountains. NOT.
June was such a great month, that I made a video about it!

Then, of course, I went to Africa. {Part 1} {Part 2}.
Thank you Africa for JOY + LOVE. I will not easily forget it.

Tomorrow, I begin my junior year of high school, a year I have dreaded since pretty much forever.

It will be hard, but after this summer I am confident that my Lord will sustain me.
Bring it, Junior year! “No in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” {Romans 8:37}
